early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1.35)

feel like life being taken over by clocks, all shaped like daleks.  starts with buzzer on radio alarm- definitely nastiest noise ever invented jolting happily sleeping AK into upright position.

clocks going back this weekend, never quite understand how this adds up to extra hour of dark and light at the same time.  ticking momentum increasing towards the Big C.

off to see sister and family in Italy with KCrew too early on Friday morning; expect 5 alarms clocks to go off for simultaneous middle of night chorus.

serious packing underway; aim to thwart budget airline exorbidant extra costs for taking more than one pair of underwear and non-regulation size toothbrush.

wonder if danger of trying to pack life like suitcase til overflowing until too much to carry.

reminded of Jesus, achieved more than I can imagine, not by the clocks, not with baggage, lots of peace-even when up in the dark.

Christian Henri Nouwen said: a life not reflected on, is a life only half-lived.

thank you Father for giving me time to live.  thank you for the extra hour this weekend.

help me to make prayer as natural as breathing, to find a simple place to listen and to look over this life with you.

Music to reflect to; must be Clocks, Coldplay;  hear the words: "nothing else compares".  to Him. peace.

buzzers recede.
